Nine Persian Gulf University Students Advance to the Second Round of the 31st National Student Olympiad
According to the Vice-Chancellery for Academic Affairs of Persian Gulf University (PGU), the results of the first round of the 31st National Student Olympiad have been announced by the National Educational Testing Organization, with nine PGU students advancing to the second round.

According to the Director of International Affairs and Overseas Students at Persian Gulf University, a team from Persian Gulf University, consisting of students and a professir from the Faculty of Petroleum, Gas and Petrochemical Engineering, will be dispatched to participate in the 2026 International Geology Competition in Russia, which will be held from August 28 to September 9, 2026.

The translation of the book "Aquafeed Formulation" (Author: Sergio F Nates), by Dr. Ebrahim Sotoudeh, Faculty of Fisheries Department of the Persian Gulf University, was introduced as a meritorious work in the subject of applied sciences/agricultural engineering department.
The book was published in 1401 in Persian Gulf University Press.
Based on the results of the recently published Times Young (THE) 2024 ranking system, Persian Gulf University was ranked 3rd among all young Iranian universities in the International Outlook Index. It is noted that the Persian Gulf University has been ranked 2nd on the International Perspective Index among Iran's young comprehensive universities.

Based on the result of the universities ranking of D8 group countries in 2022; Turkey with 166 universities, Iran with 80 universities, and Indonesia with 60 universities have the most universities in this ranking.
According to the list announced by the Islamic World Science Citation Database (ISC), Persian Gulf University, jointly with the Urmia University of Technology, was ranked 279th in the 2022 ranking of the universities of the D8 group countries, one step up from the last year. There are 496 universities in the ISC ranking system from 8 countries.
