Nine Persian Gulf University Students Advance to the Second Round of the 31st National Student Olympiad According to the Vice-Chancellery for Academic Affairs of Persian Gulf University (PGU), the results of the first round of the 31st National Student Olympiad have been announced by the National Educational Testing Organization, with nine PGU students advancing to the second round. According to the Public Relations Office of Persian Gulf University, students of the University achieved outstanding results across various academic disciplines. The successful students are as follows: Mojtaba Eskandari (Psychology)Fatemeh Barzegar (Mathematics)Fatemeh Saadatmand (Biology)Zahra Movahed (Biology)Mehdi Behi Moghaddam (Economics)Zeinab Tamimi (Economics)Zahra Dashtizadeh (Civil Engineering)Bardia Alamiyeh (Civil Engineering)Ahmadreza Hosseinpour (Computer Engineering) Notably, among these outstanding students, Zeinab Tamimi ranked first among all participants in the Economics discipline. These talented students will compete against top qualifiers from across the country in the second round of the National Student Olympiad, scheduled to be hosted by Shiraz University on September 25, 2026. Dr. Razminia, Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs of Persian Gulf University, congratulated the students and academic departments on this achievement, stating: “Scientific Olympiads and competitions provide an important benchmark for assessing students’ academic standing at the national level. The advancement of these nine students to the second round reflects the high quality of education and strong academic commitment across the various faculties of Persian Gulf University. Futsal Tournament for Employees of Executive Bodies in Bushehr Begins

Persian Gulf University Hosts Futsal Tournament for Government Employees in Bushehr Province The futsal tournament for employees of executive bodies in Bushehr Province commenced on Saturday, September 5, at the Persian Gulf University (PGU) Sports Hall, coinciding with Iran’s Government Week. According to the Public Relations Office of Persian Gulf University, the opening ceremony was attended by Mehdi Bahramzadeh, Deputy Director for Sports at the Bushehr Province General Directorate of Youth and Sports; Mohammad Hossein Zahedifard, Head of the Provincial Public Sports Association; and Hamid Bordideh, Director of Physical Education at Persian Gulf University, along with veteran football figures from the province. The tournament is being held with the aim of promoting public sports and enhancing vitality among employees. The champion team will earn a place in the national futsal tournament for employees of executive bodies.

Persian Gulf University Team to Participate in the 2026 International Geology Competition in Russia

According to the Director of International Affairs and Overseas Students at Persian Gulf University, a team from Persian Gulf University, consisting of students and a professir from the Faculty of Petroleum, Gas and Petrochemical Engineering, will be dispatched to participate in the 2026 International Geology Competition in Russia, which will be held from August 28 to September 9, 2026.This scientific event, hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Ufa, Russian Federation, is recognized as one of the prestigious international competitions in the field of Earth sciences.Dr. Khosravi added that the participation of Persian Gulf University students in this competition represents a valuable opportunity for scientific competition, knowledge and experience exchange with students and researchers from various countries, as well as for showcasing the university’s scientific capabilities on the international stage.

Work worthy of recognition at the 31st I.R. Iran's World Book Award

The closing ceremony and announcement of the 31st I.R. Iran's World Book Award winners was held on Saturday, July 8, in Rudaki Hall, Tehran. The translation of the book "Aquafeed Formulation" (Author: Sergio F Nates), by Dr. Ebrahim Sotoudeh, Faculty of Fisheries Department of the Persian Gulf University, was introduced as a meritorious work in the subject of applied sciences/agricultural engineering department. The book was published in 1401 in Persian Gulf University Press.
