Persian Gulf University and Bushehr University of Medical Sciences Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement
To foster scientific synergy and optimize the use of research infrastructure, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for scientific, research, and technological cooperation was signed between the Research and Technology Departments of Bushehr University of Medical Sciences and Persian Gulf University (PGU).
This agreement aims to advance knowledge and technology in critical fields, including life sciences, medicine, engineering, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence, establishing a robust framework for interdisciplinary collaboration between the two provincial academic institutions.
Key Areas of Cooperation:
Under this MoU, the parties will collaborate on the following initiatives:
Execution of joint research projects; Provision of specialized laboratory and preclinical services;
Development of bioactive compounds and novel drug delivery systems;
Biological and clinical assessments;
Advancement of artificial intelligence applications in healthcare;
* Human resource development and the commercialization of research outcomes.
Furthermore, the agreement emphasizes the utilization of artificial intelligence to develop smart products, the sharing of data and technological infrastructure, and the organization of joint workshops. The parties have agreed that intellectual property rights for all outcomes arising from this collaboration will be shared, with specific terms regarding benefits and patent registration to be defined in separate contracts.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Shokrollah Farrokhi, Deputy of Research and Technology at Bushehr University of Medical Sciences, and Dr. Rouhollah Fatemi, Deputy of Research and Technology at Persian Gulf University. The MoU is valid for three years, and a joint working group has been established to monitor project progress and address potential challenges.
