Recently, Times Higher Education (THE) revealed the Young University Ranking and also Asia University Ranking 2023 showing a stunning improvement in the rank of PGU amongst Iranian universities in the indicators International Outlook and Industrial Income compared to 2022 ranking. It is noted that the young universities are the universities with the age under 50. Proudly, PGU ranks #3 in the International Outlook amongst Iranian comprehensive universities in THE's Young University Ranking 2023. Furthermore, PGU ranks #7 in the International Outlook amongst all the Iranian comprehensive universities in THE's Asia University Ranking 2023.

The rank of Persian Gulf University among Iranian comprehensive universities in THE's Asia University Ranking 2022 and 2023

In a global view, PGU stands in 401^st in Young University Ranking and 401^st-500^th in Asia University Ranking 2023. Currently, 5% of full-time students at PGU are international students from more than 7 countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Georgia, India, Madagascar and Iraq, while the international students from more than 32 countries have participated in short-time educational programs. Additionally, several international academic staff from the Netherlands, Italy and Finland in collaboration with Iranian academic staff have outstanding contributions in research and educational activities in this university. PGU scientific publications have been significantly increasing annually, and 46% of PGU's papers published in 2022 were in collaboration with international institutes from all over the world. PGU welcomes international students to continue their studies, inheriting several scholarships covering tuition fee, living costs and research grants.
